Sid's surgery

Sid's surgery yesterday went great! She is acting like nothing happened today, a child bounces back so fast I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers they were very much appreciated! :) The only thing to do now is wait, she will have to be on antibiotics for 6 months and an ultrasound every month then after the 6 months when the doctor gives her a good bill of health then the problem will not return.
She was in a great mood while waiting for her turn...to be a child again with no worries
The nurse came in about 20 minutes before the above picture and gave her something to make her drowsy so she was very relaxed here.
Here she is being rolled down the hall for her surgery.
She is having a snack and drink after surgery (since the surgeon was running late it was almost 21 hours since she had eaten) and yes she woke up just fine :)
She did snuggle up next to her mom (after her snack) and they both ended up falling asleep for a bit
She is more than ready to go home
 The nurse finally got the papers ready and we headed home. Sid was so hungry we promised her a stop off at White Castle (to get her favorite) chicken sandwich and cheesy fries. I was so happy everything went good I would have stopped off anywhere she wanted! :)

    Oh, I have wondered, but didn't want to bother you. Thank you for the update. She is a cutie. I remember when my son needed an operation and I was like a hen on an egg, he was fine...sigh. Youth.

      Hi JMD, Yes I was so thankful when it was over! Kids can be so cute, before she went in for surgery she said nanny I dont know why you worry, I am going to be great and look at the new things I learned. :)

    I am so glad the surgery went well and is now over. Praying that her recovery goes smoothly. Happy November....

    What an amazing child! I will certainly have to make some time to catch up reading and see what is going on in your world. It sounds like it has been pretty difficult. I am so glad all went well with the surgery. My prayers will be with you all!

      Thanks Anna, Yes we have had our ups and down a lot lately but with prayer things always seem to work out just fine! :)
