A string and a chicken

I was leaving to pick the kids up at the end of the drive way when I noticed one of the chickens limping, upon closer inspection I found a string wrapped around both of her feet.
I needed Mom's help with this! she held lady while I cut the string it amazes me what these animals can find and get into! :)

  1. OMG, I had the same thing happen to a guinea not once but twice to the same bird. How is that even possible. And to make matters worse mine are wild so I ended up with a cut on my face for saving the bugger. These animals really keep you on your toes.

  3. I love that picture of your mom's hands holding the chicken. How I miss my mom, more now than when she passed in 1998. She came from
WV and her mother had guineas. My mom told me that everytime her sister Atlea came home, one guinea would attack her. Out of 12 children, that guinea only went after Atlea. Knowing Aunt Atlea, she probably did something to her as a peep. LOL. Again, great pic.

    1. When I was 8 and Rick was 6 there was one guinea that mom and dad had that would attack Rick or chase him aroung the yard, same thing here we thought Rick did something to make her not like him! I know what you mean about your mom, I miss my dad so much!

    1. Chickens are so calm and also so much fun to watch running around the yard (all the colors) but if there is something to get into they will (kinda like my goats) :)
