Kefir grains and a scoby

I would really like to try my hand at making milk and water Kefir but cannot find anyone that has the grains does anyone know how to acquire a start? Kombucha is also an item I would love to try to make myself, but with this also I cannot find anyone local that has a scoby, can these item be shipped? If so where do you find a source, I have heard nothing but good about these items, if you can help me find some starts it would be greatly appreciated.
