Getting ready to make soap again
I am back at trying my hand at making soap, what has put a bee in my bonnet and got me started again you may ask? Its looking at cocobongsoaps blog she makes some of the prettiest soaps! It makes me want to take a nice long relaxing bath....but then they are so pretty I would want to put them on the vanity and not let anyone touch! :) I am just making plain soap to use, but seeing hers makes me want to do more (or should I say try)....have got to order some from her sometime! I am sure they work as good as they look!. If you get a chance run over to her blog, you will love them! Just got out all my items to make the soap from storage, pan, scales etc..... I am going to make some over the weekend, wish me luck! :D

Good luck! Can't wait to hear how it turns out.
ReplyDeleteWOW . . . I often wondered how a someone made soap. That sounds like something that would really be a lot of fun and rewarding besides!
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Eclectic Culture Farms. I have a Scoby and I have made Kefir both water and milk and I purchased them from www.kefirlady.com. Marilyn is so nice and she is very knowledgeable about her kefir. She'll send you printed information and all. I could mail you a scoby but I don't know how it would fair in this weather, but it's worth a try if you are willing.
We also homeschool. I've homeschooled for sixteen years and I have to say it has been a blessing....hard but a blessing! I wanted to homeschool but I didn't think I could do it. I bought some curriculum in 1995. I started in the summer with the reasoning that if I couldn't do it I would send her and her brother to school in the fall. It was really not that hard. Erika was in the 3rd grade and I just did a lesson with her each day from each of her subjects.
Pray with your husband and seek the Lord. Check your state laws and fill out a few papers and send them in to your school system in the fall. I believe a lot of people start not knowing a lot but learn as they go.
In Christ,
Kim

ReplyDeleteLinda thank you that is a picture I took of my dad walking with my grand daughter on their way to gather the eggs. Thank goodness I was talking to my sister outside and took the picture. It is a picture I would not trade for anything now! :)
